We found that Tmem100-expressing cells contribute to bone formation around titanium implants in a mouse model of osseointegration. We performed tibial implant surgery on Tmem100.creERT2; R26.tdTomato mice, pulsed them with tamoxifen once at the end of surgery. We retrieved implanted tibial specimens, as well as uninjured, contralateral-control tibiae 9 days later. We purified separate collections of tdTom+ cells from both groups with flow cytometry and performed single cell RNA-seq.
