Lungs were harvested from naive C57BL/6 mice (8-12 weeks, male). The lungs were digested with collagenase IV, followed by passage through a 70um cell strainer and red blood cell lysis. For each mouse scRNAseq sample, 8,500 monocytes and macrophages were sorted as CD45+LINNEG (CD3/CD19/NKP46) CD11B+LY6GNEG and encapsulated using the 10X Chromium 3’ v2 chemistry kit according to manufacturer instructions. 

This study contains two data sets from naive mouse lungs. One data set (GSM4877984_BM) contains bone marrow-derived monocytes and macrophages while the other data set (GSM4773604) contains non-bone marrow-derived monocytes and macrophages.

These data sets were taken from Casanova-Acebes et al., Nature (2021).
