Single-cell RNA sequencing was performed on cells isolated from milk and blood of three Holstein cows with chronic mastitis caused by experimental Staphylococcus aureus infection. Cells were classified into 62 clusters and annotated as 6 different cell types. A data subset of only granulocytes was also created and further investigated.

Data found here are associated with single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) analysis of the below work:

Single-cell RNA sequencing characterization of Holstein cattle blood and milk immune cells during a chronic Staphylococcus aureus mastitis infection by Jayne E. Wiarda, Kaitlyn M. Sarlo Davila, Julian M. Trachsel, Crystal L. Loving, Paola Boggiotto, John D. Lippolis, and Ellie J. Putz
